Job overview

Deputy Headteacher required for January 2022

Strategic Leadership

Grade:  (L22-L26)  currently:  £70,744 - £78,024 per annum.

Witton Park Academy is part of Achievement through Collaboration Trust - an ambitious and supportive Trust, where children come first and are at the heart of all we do.

We are looking for a leader who shares our values. A leader who uses coaching as their philosophy for developing people.  A leader who can support the school strategically.

We would like you to be able to demonstrate the improvements you have been responsible for in any strategic areas of your school(s).  The skill and personality to motivate and inspire our staff and students to achieve their highest personal goals is a key attribute for this role.  As a good school, we continually seek improvements; we believe this strategic role will take us into the next stage of our improvement journey.  We are particularly looking for someone to strategically lead improvements on equity within the school ensuring our pupil premium children achieve as well as their peers.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will work closely with other members of the leadership team, all of whom are passionate about improving the life chances of our students, making sure that they fulfil their part in ensuring that Witton Park Academy is a school to be proud of.  In addition there will be opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues in our other schools to support school improvement.

We are not looking for a specific curriculum discipline, although we would expect high quality teaching to be demonstrated at interview and in post.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated professional to join our school and make a difference to the lives of our students and the community we serve.

Visits to the school will be available on Wednesday 23rd June and Tuesday 29th June at 8.30am and 2.00 pm.

Alternative dates and times would be available and of course we would encourage you to apply even if you are unable to visit.

Please email Sam Tomlinson stomlinson@wittonpark.org.uk if you wish to visit.

Closing date:     Monday 5th July 2021 at 9.00 am.

Interview dates:    Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July 2021.

Welcome to Witton Park Academy

Innovating… Engaging… Caring… Learning… Succeeding Together.
With pride and passion we unite our school and our local community, and lead the drive to be ‘always learning’.

We are extremely proud of our school; the achievements of our pupils, the expertise and dedication of our staff, our outstanding facilities and our reputation as a centre of excellence.

Our ultra-modern school buildings allow our pupils to flourish in facilities for learning that truly do enable us to trail blaze innovative learning – from the bright and attractive classrooms, to the fully equipped outside play areas, the facilities allow our pupils to fully explore their talents and to shine in those areas that they most enjoy.

A building, however, is only as good as the people working within; we believe we have some of the best students and teachers in the world.  Staff and pupils benefit from the investment we place on their development: as well as playing a key part in supporting other schools through the Achievement through Collaboration Trust, we have a variety of external partners from Google, The Schools, Students and Teacher Network and with University College London. Partnerships like these create opportunities for all members of our team.

We understand how important choosing the right school is and so, on behalf of our pupils and staff, we warmly invite you to visit our school and experience for yourself the quality of education we offer.
