St Thomas’s Centre
It is our expectation, that all pupils succeed no exceptions no excuses
We believe that St Thomas’s Centre is an exceptional school with excellent staff and great children. As a school, we have a can do approach, an unequivocal commitment to young people and their families and we share an expectation that all pupils will succeed, no exceptions, no excuses. As a member of our team you will understand the cultural background of our students, the challenges they face in learning and in life and how to embrace what they bring to school, to support and challenge them to be and do the best they can. Both Ofsted and our parents know that St Thomas’s is a good school. We offer students a calm and friendly welcome to re-establish their confidence and increase self-esteem with a view to re-engaging and sustaining them in learning.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed Deputy Head, who can continue to enhance and strive for excellence in what is already a very strong senior leadership team. This post will have a 0.4 teaching commitment. You will have responsibility for Teaching and Learning, Attendance, Safeguarding and Behaviour across our Darwen Campus (Key Stage 1 – Key Stage 3). Therefore this post would suit candidates from both primary and secondary phases.
