The Convent of Jesus and Mary Catholic Infant School & Nursery is a community of faith and learning in the heart of the diverse area of Willesden Green in the London Borough of Brent. Our school is at the centre of the community of St Mary Magdalen’s Parish in the Diocese of Westminster. 

The Governors wish to appoint a practicing Catholic Deputy Headteacher who has a strong Catholic faith and a clear understanding of education and leadership in a Catholic school. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic Leadership Team and build on our school’s success and reputation We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking, and suitably qualified Deputy Headteacher who leads by exemplary practice, is organised with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and will make a significant contribution to raising standards in the school. You will work in close partnership with the Headteacher leading our dedicated and talented staff through strong leadership, strategic thinking and a creative approach to teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will have had experience as an Acting Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, or Subject Leader of a main curriculum area for at least four years and demonstrate evidence of excellent leadership in this subject area. The candidate should also demonstrate in depth knowledge of the Curriculum and have a track record as an outstanding teacher; they will have experience in a range of school improvement strategies, have thorough experience of self-evaluation and data analysis, as well as improving the Quality of Education through collaborative working.
