Broad Oak Sports College is a secondary community school for pupils aged 11-16. The Oak Learning Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher who can join a team of professionals working to equip our young people for the demands of the 21st century by offering every opportunity to achieve.  Significant successful teaching experience is essential. We are looking for outstanding colleagues who are able to demonstrate a high level of commitment with a wide range of leadership skills.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have extensive experience and skills in working with young people and needs to be passionate about ensuring that they reach their full potential
  • Be able to demonstrate how their work has had a significant impact on the whole school as part of a senior leadership team
  • Be able to lead by example – with integrity, creativity, resilience and clarity
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be a role model to the highest of professional standards
  • Be well organised, hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent leadership skills and be able to hold people to account
  • Lead on child protection as the designated safeguarding lead
  • Develop and promote effective partnerships with parents, carers, staff and students

 

This post would be suitable for a person with experience of working with vulnerable young people in an education setting. You will be part of an excellent team and will be given extensive support to develop to your full potential both in this role and beyond.
