Due to the promotion of our existing Deputy, the Governors of St. Mary’s R.C. Primary School, Radcliffe are seeking to appoint a motivated, creative and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to work alongside our newly appointed Headteacher.

As part of our committed and enthusiastic team, you will help lead our school to the next exciting stage of its development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practising Catholic committed to maintaining the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Be an outstanding teacher and role model with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community to ensure that all children will reach their full potential.
  • Have proven experience in leadership and management across the primary sector, which will inspire and motivate staff to raise standards and drive continued improvement towards excellence.
  • Be a strong, approachable and supportive leader with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Have confidence, clear vision and the ability to play a leading role in the growth of an inspirational curriculum as well as the development of staff.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to maintain good, and develop towards, outstanding standards of teaching and learning.
  • Note that the post will involve some teaching responsibility.
