Required for September 2018 - Deputy Headteacher Leadership Scale Points L18 to L22 (£59,857 to £66,017)  

The Governors of St James’ Catholic High School are seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher who is an outstanding classroom practitioner and a practising Catholic, committed to the ethos and vision of Catholic Education. This post commences on 1st September 2018 and offers an exciting career development opportunity for a hard-working and ambitious leader.       

The successful candidate will be an experienced senior leader who: 

· Is a practising Catholic with a strategic and inspiring vision of Catholic education.

· Is committed to supporting and developing the Catholic ethos of the School.

· Has energy, enthusiasm and a record of raising achievement and has proven leadership qualities.

· Has the ability to lead, manage and inspire.

· Has the ability, skill and experience to manage long-term objectives whilst dealing effectively with fast moving day-to-day priorities.

The Deputy Headteacher will lead a team of Assistant Headteachers and Faculty Leaders in securing outstanding teaching, with particular responsibility for standards, curriculum innovation and whole school assessment.
