Welcome to Laleham Lea and thank you for your interest in our school. Laleham Lea is a very special place and I am incredibly proud to have been given the opportunity to lead our amazing staff team and exemplary students.

At Laleham Lea we have always firmly believed in putting the child at the centre of everything we do and this forms the solid foundation from which our students thrive.

As a Catholic school, Gospel values are at the forefront of our daily routine and flow through all that we do. We welcome children and families of all faiths who are sympathetic to our Catholic ethos. We encourage a high standard of behaviour based on values of love, respect, and a positive work ethic.
Our high academic expectations, coupled with outstanding pastoral care, help to give each and every student the best possible start to a happy and successful school life.

Our experienced teachers’ knowledge of every student helps to guide and support the development of their individual talents and skills to ensure they reach their full potential and ultimately move on to the school of their choice.

The findings of our latest ISI Inspection*, which found Laleham Lea to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas, validate the tremendous hard work of our students, staff and Governors. We continue to work alongside all of our families and our whole Laleham Lea community to provide an excellent education for each child, where children love to learn with their friends.

From the warm welcome for all at the door every day to the playground where all ages play and socialise together, the Laleham Lea family ensures that every school day is a happy one.

As they grow, our pupils become confident, fulfilled young people through both academic and extracurricular activities. A high standard of teaching and learning is central to our success. Your son or daughter will be taught in inspiring and well-equipped classrooms by teachers with specialist qualifications and experience in specific areas of the curriculum such as Science, Modern Languages, ICT, Art, Music, Drama and Sports.

Every child is also encouraged to find and cultivate their own passions outside of academic learning and display them through competitions, presentations and performance which also help to build confidence and our three key learning behaviours of resilience, respect and independence.
When the time does come to leave us, students do so with many happy memories of their time here and their ‘Laleham Lea family’.

The standards of excellence achieved at Laleham Lea mean that many of our students secure places at local Grammar Schools or obtain scholarships for leading Independent Schools. Many of our Catholic families may prefer to remain in a Catholic environment similar to that of Laleham Lea and go on to one of the many excellent local Independent and State Catholic Secondary Schools where they achieve many great things.

I hope that the information you find here inspires you to visit our Laleham Lea family, we can assure you of a very warm welcome.

Mrs. M Reece
