Notton House is a residential Academy based near Chippenham, Wiltshire, which caters for up to 52 boys aged 8-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and/or ASC/SLCN. The school is a key part of Bristol’s provision and that of neighbouring authorities for pupils with SEMH.  The school was judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2015. We have a skilled, committed, caring staff and the active support of the Academy Council. You will need to be a dynamic, committed leader who will provide positive leadership and direction for the school and embrace the ethos and values which have at their heart, teaching and learning, welfare, wellbeing and educational achievement of our students.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:

  • Will enthusiastically take on the opportunities and challenges of this post;
  • Is passionate about learning, teaching and personal, social development;
  • Recognises   and values the opportunities provided by an SEMH Residential School;
  • Has proven experience of using a wide range of interventions for effective school improvement.

As of the 1st September 2017 we became part of a specialist Multi-Academy Trust with similar partner schools and PRU’s in Bristol.  The school is going through a period of growth and development with additional new posts currently being advertised. So this is an exciting time to be part of the leadership of the school.
