Deputy Headteacher

Saint Benedict is Derby’s only Catholic secondary school. Situated in a very beautiful part of the city and with a thriving Sixth Form and excellent facilities, we are looking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher who will help to lead us on the next phase of our journey, and who can make a real difference to young people’s lives. 

This is a very exciting time for our academy. In 2017 we celebrated our best ever GCSE results with continued strong performance at A Level. We are ambitious to continue the drive to improve outcomes for our students while ensuring Christ remains at the heart of all that we do. Ofsted described Saint Benedict as ‘a very special place.’ A very happy and supportive community, students are well behaved, and enjoy their learning with a talented, ambitious and dedicated team of staff.

Our new Deputy Headteacher will:

• Work closely with the Headteacher to shape and implement the vision that will create the      best learning environment possible for our students.
• Have a proven track record of school improvement with the drive and ambition to inspire  staff. 
• Be highly motivated and passionate in the belief that every child can succeed
• Be a committed and a practising Catholic who can help us to develop partnerships with our family of Catholic Primary schools and our parishes across the city.
