The Governors of Lampard Community School welcome applications for the position of Deputy Headteacher to join our hard working and successful team. We are a positive learning community and are committed to providing our students the best education to equip them to go on to lead active and fulfilled lives, where they realise their aspirations and make positive steps towards developing the skills needed for future employment. We value our community having a voice and being listened to, being kind to one another, working together and to have the courage to keep trying our best. We celebrate each other's' strengths and differences.

Lampard Community School is a successful, oversubscribed special school for pupils aged 5 - 16 years who have significant needs related to communication and interaction. Many have a diagnosis of autism and/or have needs relating to speech, language and communication. Our students have a complex profile of needs as outlined in their Education Health Care Plan. Due to their communication needs, students are working well below age-related expectations. All achieve a suite of Entry Level and Level 1 qualifications in Functional Skills and in their vocational subjects.

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher with energy, drive and proven professional and ethical leadership skills to work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body to guide the school in its next stage of development.

You will need to have high aspirations for students with SEND, a strong commitment to the development of the school and the desire and drive to continually raise standards. You must be able to demonstrate how your initiatives have positively impacted on outcomes for learners with SEND.

This is a broad role and one, which will be defined by the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Interested candidates are most welcome to visit the school. Please contact Alison Rubenchik, School Business Manager on 01271 345416.
Further information and application details are on our website at www.lampard.devon.sch.uk

This role requires a DBS disclosure.

Closing date: 07/12/20.
