The Trustees of Ribston Hall wish to appoint a Deputy Headteacher for September 2024. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, creative, inspirational and determined leader to champion the needs of our school community and build upon our successes.

Ribston Hall is a grammar school for girls with a coeducational sixth form with approximately 870 students on roll coming from across the county and beyond.

The Deputy Headteacher of Ribston Hall will work collaboratively with a committed and ambitious staff and Trustee body.

The Deputy Headteacher will play a key role in the day-to-day operational leadership of the school and be responsible for the following key strategic areas:

·        Developing Leadership across the school through the creation of a leadership framework

·        Staff Continuing Professional Development, including Training Manager (ITT, ECT)

·        Raising the profile of the school: Communications and Marketing Strategy

The successful applicant will;

·        Be an excellent teacher and a strategic leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.

·        A current Assistant Headteacher or Senior Leader, with the ability to inspire staff and students to be exceptional.

·        Have the strength, ambition, and enthusiasm to support the leadership of the school into an exciting future.

·        Be approachable, caring and supportive to students, staff and parents, with safeguarding and equality as a central focus.

·        Be visible and work collaboratively within the school and beyond.

·        Be outward facing and engage with new developments in Education.

·        Have led a whole school change that brought about quantifiable outcomes. 

·        Have a proven experience of positively impacting on student progress, raising attainment and developing excellence.

·        Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils.
