Yerbury School is looking for an inspiring Deputy Headteacher to join our happy and established team, to further innovate and develop provision, ensuring we become more outward-facing, and develop a strong sense of belonging for the whole community. Yerbury is a 2FE, over-subscribed, unique, friendly and successful school. Our ethos is built upon an enthusiasm for and commitment to the broad and balanced, long-term development of each child, and we are passionate about delivering an innovative and creative curriculum whilst ensuring the best outcomes for all our children. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner and experienced senior leader with a passion and commitment to improving standards, provision and opportunities across the school for all
  • Is experienced in school improvement at a whole school level and feels confident in empowering and developing others
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills, and has the ability, energy and self-awareness to lead, connect with, inspire and support pupils, staff and the wider community
  • Understands the complexity, depth and breadth of genuine inclusivity and equality, and is committed to continually pursuing both
  • Has a strong work-ethic, is positive, approachable and a team-player, with integrity and a good sense of humour
  • Is an innovative, independent and strategic thinker, who is motivated by keeping up to date with the most recent pedagogical research and developments, including technologies
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is very good at building strong, working relationships with parents and outside agencies
