Job overview

A unique and rare opportunity has arisen to work as Deputy Head in a unique Christian setting. Trinity Sevenoaks was established 4 years ago by a handful of local Christians and today, 460 students occupy a brand new state of the art building with demand for places exceptionally high. This is hardly surprising. Our approach to education is about educating the whole child underpinned by a strong Christian foundation. We pride ourselves also in having exceptional and polite minded students who care and embody the ethos of the school, – Truth – Excellence – Love – Leadership – Service. There is not a week that goes by where visitors and prospective parents/students are astounded by the calm and friendly environment that exists. Why not come and visit to experience this for yourself. You will be truly amazed!

The new Deputy will be a committed and practising Christian and play an integral role as the school enters an important season where our Year 11s will be sitting their GCSEs for the first time. Shortly after, we will be opening our new Sixth Form. An important strand of our ethos is ‘excellence’ and you will play a vital part in ensuring our students reach their academic potential. You will be someone who has a proven track record of raising attainment. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and how to support our amazing team of teachers. We are looking for someone who has a real interest and passion for people, students and school staff alike, and how to encourage and push them to realise their fullest potential. You will ideally be a gifted and inspiring communicator as you motivate students and staff.

You will be someone who already has senior leadership experience and has a good understanding of the changing educational landscape. Trinity is interested in appointing someone who has the right Character, Competence and Chemistry in order that you complement this amazing school and be a catalyst that takes us to new heights in our journey.

In return, you will be supported and developed as a person and leader to achieve future ambitions. We can offer you a wonderful and vibrant place to work where teachers are able to teach. You will be part of friendly and welcoming team that enjoys what they do. You will also be the recipient of lots of encouragement and praise and will be held to account to ensure you have a good work life balance.

Our school and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. The successful applicant will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure and checks regarding proof of ID, medical clearance and the right to work in the UK.

Visits are encouraged and welcome. If you would like to visit please contact us using the details below.

About Trinity School Sevenoaks

Trinity is a growing, non-denominational Christian free school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. We are a single Academy Trust which operates under the sponsorship of 29 local churches in the Sevenoaks area. Trinity was founded in 2013 by a committed group of local people, many of whom are governors of the school.  We are a 11-18, non-selective, mixed school and we attract many pupils who reach the standard to pass the 11 Plus.  Half the intake have a faith reference. The sixth form was established in September 2018 and will grow to 240 students.

We moved into our brand new, state-of-the-art building in September 2016. We originally opened as a four-form entry school and have now become a six-form entry due to demand for places in the local area.

Parents, staff and students describe the school as a truly special place to work, teach and learn. The culture is supportive, challenging and every member of the Trinity team has high standards and expectations and strives for excellence in every aspect of school life.  Our vision and values permeate everything we do and this is demonstrated by our well-behaved students right through to our flourishing co-curricular programme. High quality teaching, coupled with outstanding pastoral care, ensures that our students have every opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Teachers are well supported and developed through our CPD programme. Our new, state-of-the art building has excellent, spacious facilities, well-resourced classrooms, designated staff work rooms and ample on-site staff parking.

Trinity Values

As a Christian school, we promote ‘the Trinity Way’ in all we do: Truth, Excellence, Love, Leadership and Service. We believe that in doing so, students are well-placed to grow into confident, outward focused individuals who live rewarding and purposeful lives. We hold unswervingly to a belief that every Trinity student should receive an ‘education for life in all its fullness’.
