Bidford on Avon C. of E. Primary School is a successful, large, rural primary school with a reputation for inclusive practice and a supportive, nurturing ethos.

Following the retirement of our Deputy Headteacher/SENCO we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to take on the roll. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop as a senior leader. As the new Deputy Headteacher you will play a significant role in providing senior leadership, promoting our vision, values and policies and leading on inclusion, SEN and pastoral care.

The Role

The role is mainly non-class based, currently has a 0.2 teaching commitment and you will be working with a hard-working and professional team of staff.

If you are an excellent practitioner with an established reputation for raising standards, supporting SEND and inclusion, coupled with drive and resilience, then we want to hear from you.

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience of school leadership and improvement
  • Has the National Award for SENCOs or is willing to train for the award
  • Has experience of leading on inclusion, SEND, pastoral care and behaviour management
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Is able to lead on teaching and learning
  • Supports the school’s Christian ethos
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Is committed to developing excellent relationships with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
