Burford Primary and Nursery school is a popular two-form entry school in Marlow Bottom with a Nursery attached. We are a welcoming and inclusive school, set in the heart of the local community. The post’s wide-ranging responsibilities, which cover aspects of teaching and learning and school improvement, will ensure that the role brings both variety and challenge in equal measures.

The successful candidate will be expected to be fully committed to the ethos and aims of the school. In return, we offer a highly supportive environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.

 

The successful candidate will:

·       lead on behaviour and attitudes including inclusion (SEND, Wellbeing, Pupil Premium)

·      deputise in the absence of the Headteacher

 

The successful candidate will also, under the direction of the Headteacher, take a major role in:

·         safeguarding pupils and families

·       formulating the aims and objectives of the school

·       establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives

·       managing staff and resources including leading on staff CPD

·       monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives

 

The Deputy Headteacher will:

·        uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct

·      build positive and respectful relationships across the school community

·      serve in the best interests of the school’s stakeholders
