An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic professional to join the Senior Leadership Team at this “Outstanding” school. Having gained the Ofsted judgement in October 2017, the school is now seeking a Deputy Head to play a key role in its further development.
The school caters for pupils, aged 4 to 19, with a wide range of needs across the profound, severe and complex range, including specialist provision (3 class bases) for pupils who have Autistic Spectrum Condition. We are seeking a person with a clear understanding of these needs; experience in a special school setting; and a commitment to finding innovative and creative ways to enable all pupils to reach their full potential.
The school places a high priority on the role of Sport. This long standing commitment has resulted in outstanding facilities that include a full sized sports hall, dance studio, swimming pool and a large hydrotherapy pool.
The successful candidate will be an exemplary practitioner who has the ability to inspire, lead and motivate their colleagues, within a collaborative approach to leadership.
Candidates are encouraged to visit the school and meet the Headteacher, Pam Ashworth, prior to application. An appointment can be made by phone or e-mail.
