Beacon Hill school was formed in September 2006 following the closure of Ashleigh School, North Shields and Parkside School, Wallsend. We are proud to meet the needs of young people with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism aged 3 to 19. Beacon Hill School is a specialist college for Business and Enterprise in partnership with Burnside Business & Enterprise College. This reflects our commitment to high expectations for our young people, but which also allows us to develop vital areas of pupils’ personal and social skills. This is also reflected in the fact that our 6th Form department is based full time at Tyne Metropolitan College of Further Education.
