Campion School is seeking to recruit an outstanding Deputy Headteacher with overall responsibility for Raising Standards. 

You are likely to be an existing senior educational leader – a Deputy Headteacher or an outstanding Assistant Headteacher – with significant skills, knowledge and experience of raising standards. In order to have acquired the necessary sound judgement, experience and skill set, we envisage that a current Assistant Headteacher is likely to have been in post for at least three years and will have a proven track record of improvement for leading on raising standards at their current school.  

This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious person to use their leadership skills and continue to drive forward the success of the school to create the best possible educational opportunities for our young people at Campion. The post would suit a strategic thinker with expertise in teaching and learning, high-quality assessment strategies and raising standards.

Campion School in Bugbrooke, Near Northampton, is a co-educational secondary school. It became a Language College in September 1997 and an academy in 2011.

The school adopts the latest teaching pedagogy and staff engage in an internal teaching and learning development programme called “XL” (Leading to Excellent Teaching).  A continual evaluation cycle measures the effectiveness of Campion School’s work and identifies the next steps to be taken to ensure continuous improvement in all areas of teaching and learning.

To ensure that all students in the sixth form are challenged an motivated, the latest equipment for interactive lessons is utilised.
