Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust is a large new Catholic Multi Academy Trust situated in the northern half of the Catholic Diocese of Northampton formed by the merger of three former Catholic Trusts in February 2020. The Trust currently leads and manages ten Catholic primary schools located across the geographical area of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire and, two Catholic secondary schools – Thomas Becket in Northampton and St Thomas More in Bedford.


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join us here at Thomas Becket Catholic School. This post carrier a significant responsibility as a member of the School

Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a person with a clear vision of the central role that this post will play in the future success of the school. This is a great time to join us under the direction of our new Headteacher, Mr Paul McCahill.

Thomas Becket Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school for 11- to 18-year-olds in Northampton. There are currently around 846 students in attendance. The sixth form offers pupils the chance to study AS, A-Level and BTEC qualifications.

Thomas Becket Catholic School achieved its best ever exam results at GCSE and A-Level in 2016, making it one of the top co-educational schools in Northampton.

The core values of Thomas Becket Catholic School focus on the personal development of individual pupils. The school community actively encourages prayer and challenges students to grow in their faith while valuing justice, respect and compassion.

Physical education is an integral part of the curriculum at the secondary school. Pupils are encouraged to play sport to help develop leadership skills, maintain fitness and increase confidence and self-esteem.
