We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Deputy Headteacher to support our school in its journey to good. The John Henry Newman Academy has been part of the Oxford Diocesan Schools’ Trust since 2012. We are located in Littlemore on the outskirts of the City of Oxford and are a school with a rich diversity that reflects our local community. Some might find the term “requires improvement” too challenging – but not you.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Senior Leadership Team and contribute to moving our school forward into the future. You will be dynamic, with a proven track record of success as a teacher, manager and leader. As a Deputy Headteacher, the core responsibilities of your role will be the development and implementation of whole school strategies relating to Teaching and Learning, pupil and student monitoring and increased achievement.

With a proven track record as an excellent teacher with successful leadership experience, you will be looking for new challenges and will be able to build on the foundations already in place.
