We are very excited to be recruiting for a Deputy Head Teacher to join our school. We are looking for a strong, well-rounded individual who can drive significant improvements in their areas of responsibility but also for the whole school. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, charismatic leader who has proven leadership experience. This person will be responsible for the strategic improvement of behaviour and inclusion as well as safeguarding and attendance. Experience of leadership and positive impact in these areas will be essential. 

Amongst other things this individual must; 

- Be a robust and resilient leader, committed to going above and beyond to ensure rapid school improvement 

- Be committed to working with pupils, parents and staff to raise standards

- Have a deep understanding of the secondary curriculum

- Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils in an area of disadvantage 

- Be able to challenge and motivate others to achieve outstanding practice

Havant Academy is fortunate to have extensive facilities and allows all students and frequent use of them. These facilities support a rich curricular and extra-curricular provision.
