Do you want to join a highly motivated and talented leadership team where helping every student to achieve their hopes, ambitions and dreams is at the centre of everything we do?

Bridlington School is a successful 11-18 maintained school with 1,017 students on roll, a number which is rising year on year as our reputation as a centre of excellence grows within the local area.  We have a small but thriving sixth form.  Students are polite, respectful and keen to learn, 49% are entitled to free school meals, 25% are also on the SEN register predominantly due to difficulties with literacy and numeracy skills.

As a relatively small school, we are able to foster a truly inclusive environment with a real sense of community.

Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do and you will work with and lead a large and experienced team of specialist pastoral, support and curriculum teams to develop and deliver high quality student centred support across the school enabling students to achieve success and fulfil their full potential regardless of their starting point.

To join us on this journey you will:

  • play a full and active role in the strategic leadership of the school
  • provide effective day-to-day management of the school to ensure provision of a high-quality education and learning experience for young people in line with the Vision and Values of the organisation
  • ensure a safe, calm and purposeful environment where all students can engage in learning and achieve their ambitions
  • ensure that all staff have high expectations of student behaviour
  • provide strategic leadership of the Personal Development, Welfare and Behaviour and Safeguarding of students and staff within the school
  • model the highest professional standards to all stakeholders in all aspects of the role, maintaining a visible presence around the school leading by example

Your subject specialism is not important but your energy, optimism and enthusiasm certainly are.  You will share our passion for teaching and learning and be committed to making a real difference to the lives of young people.

You will join a talented and hardworking staff team from September 2023 and be supported by a Headteacher and Governors who are committed to fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration and professional growth.

Bridlington School is committed to safeguarding children and young people.

Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
