An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the recently appointed headteacher in leading this successful all-age special school. 

The Coppice School is a community special school for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties, including complex medical needs and autism. Our school is well established in the local community, and takes great pride in its effective partnership with parents / carers and families.    

Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to provide a lively, caring environment that meets the individual needs of pupils and supports their developing independence in preparation for adulthood.   

We are looking for a deputy headteacher who:

- shares our passion in ensuring every child succeeds and achieves the best possible outcomes 

- demonstrates enthusiasm and professional drive to contribute to the school's future development, working in partnership with all stakeholders   

- has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate 

- understands the wide range of special educational needs found in a specialist school

Proposed interview date: Wednesday 25 October, with a formal pre-interview visit to the school on 24 October.
