The following position is available from September 2023.

The two-year contract offered includes a competitive salary, 50% Medical Aid, housing benefit, gratuity at the end of each year but paid monthly, flights at the beginning and end of contract and up to 300Kgs freight allowance for employee and 100Kgs spouse and 50Kgs each (for 2 children).

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy headteacher who is willing to add value to the School and contribute fully to the outstanding co-curricular program on offer at SAIntS. We welcome applications from teaching couples (please see our other vacancies) as well as families and individuals. We encourage applications from candidates with all levels of teaching experience, you must be a qualified teacher.

About St Andrews International High School

St Andrew’s International High School is a mixed, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding in Malawi, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Blantyre has over 500 students on record, from over 30 different nationalities. 

St Andrew’s International High School welcomed its first pupils in 1938. The secondary school follows the British curriculum, adapted to a Malawian context. In Year 9, students work towards their IGCSE exams or BTEC level 2 qualifications, followed by A levels or BTEC level 3. The school holds title as the first BTEC School in Africa. Facilities include a recording studio, radio station, library, swimming pool, sports courts and dedicated teaching blocks.
