Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to lead Key Stage 3, staffing, including HR, and whole-school intervention.

In June 2016, Ruislip High School secured its best set of external examination results. 76% of students attained an A*-C in both English and mathematics. This is a key national accountability measure. 74% of students attained five or more A*-C grades including English and mathematics. Thirty-seven students, from a cohort of 150, achieved five or more grades A-A* and 31% of all entries were awarded A-A* grades, with 57% for A*-B grades.

The results in English language and literature were very strong with A*-C percentages of 79% and 84% respectively. In addition, the results for mathematics remain consistently high with 81% of all students attaining A*-C grades. In terms of individual successes, twenty-four students attained eight or more grades at A-A* level.

The vast majority of students attained the grades necessary to progress to their chosen university with more students than ever achieving A*-A grades. In the short four year history of the sixth form, the school has been successful at sending students to both Cambridge and Oxford.

  • have a proven record as a member of a school senior leadership team,
  • be an excellent classroom teacher including a proven success record at Key Stage 3 and 4,
