Deputy Headteacher

Following the promotion of our Deputy Headteacher, Grosvenor Road Primary School is looking to appoint a new Deputy Headteacher. The post holder will work closely with the Headteacher to build on the current successes of the school.

Grosvenor Road Primary School is a good school, part way through expansion to three full forms of entry. We are looking for a creative individual who has the energy to take on new challenges and continue with our forward momentum towards being an outstanding school. This non-class based position will provide the successful applicant with significant opportunities to lead on a range of responsibilities including Assessment, Curriculum, Learning and Teaching and leadership of behaviour. It is critical and central to the role that applicants are highly effective teachers who are able to model good practice and support colleagues.

The governors, staff and children are looking to appoint a lead professional who:

• Is determined to raise standards in order to secure the highest outcomes for every child.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is a warm person with a sense of humour and approachable manner.
• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success and a deep understanding of end of Key Stage 2 tests and raising standards
• Is experienced in school improvement and possess the skills to lead and develop learning and teaching.
• Has the experience, professionalism and determination to deliver the highest standards of teaching and learning.
• Is highly motivated with proven leadership skills.
• Has the ability to lead, challenge and inspire staff and children.
• Has the confidence to build on our curriculum provision already in place across the school.
• Has experience in successfully leading at least one of the following: SEND, Safeguarding, Assessment, Teaching and Learning.
