We are in Swinton in the City of Salford, minutes from Manchester city centre. We are a National School of Creativity and one of only two schools in the country to have been awarded Artsmark Platinum. Every day over 1100 young people walk through our doors into a caring, supportive and successful school. We believe passionately in sending them out into the world with a love of learning and the skills, knowledge and values that will make a positive difference to them and their community. Other people call them pupils, we call them Change Makers.

We are at a very significant moment in our development.  Our Sixth Form is now thriving and offering a wide range of courses, mainly A levels, we are renewing our curriculum, our approach to learning and teaching and, most importantly of all, our culture.  We serve a catchment area that is fully representative of Salford and next year we will be full in all year groups from 7 to 13.  Our vision and mission are clear.  Nine words: Faith in You, Love in Learning, Hope in Better.  Our mission statement encapsulates what we want for our pupils and our staff (http://www.stambrosebarlowswinton.org/eleven-to-sixteen/our-school) If you read it and can see yourself in those words then start writing an application now.
