The secondary phase has approximately 180 pupils in each year group from year 7 to year 11. We have planned a broad, balanced and rich curriculum experience that is designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning, ensure achievement and to support pupil well-being and happiness. It enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their development and it recognises, encourages and celebrates all types of talent.   

As a member of the secondary phase you will be joining a strong and supportive team of staff who are driven to ensure that our pupils achieve the highest possible standards.  As a school, we all work together. The ability to collaborate and be open to development is essential and we aim to maximise potential within each member of staff.  

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership of the development of a high quality, relevant and inspiring KS4 curriculum offer to give every pupil a high-quality education and to promote the highest possible standards of achievement.  You will provide the strategic overview of the qualifications and examinations processes and lead the strategic use of the school information management system including the preparation of data returns such as the school census and qualifications audit. You will lead the management of all school assessment data, including collating, analysing and interpreting attainment and achievement data and sharing this with relevant stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have

·       Recent successful experience of significant success as Leader or Assistant Headteacher of a school

·       An outstanding and proven track record of leading school improvement initiatives

·       Successful and varied teaching experience

·       Experience of driving and delivering transformational and cultural change

·       Experience of managing resources effectively
