The salary for this post will be Leadership Range L18-L22 £63,508 to £70,745 per annum.

In addition to fulfilling an effective leadership role, the successful candidate will have the following specific responsibilities, amongst others:

  • Lead on teaching and learning so as to ensure positive pupil outcomes
  • Responsibility for all lead practitioners and overseeing their work in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in core subject areas.
  • Co-ordinate the coaching of teaching staff so as to improve the quality of education in school
  • Ensure high quality implementation of curriculum intent in classrooms.
  • Lead and co-ordinate staff induction, training and development
  • Lead on pastoral care

The successful candidate will also:

  • Be an outstanding teacher with a track record of achieving excellent examination results for children
  • Be able to lead with vision and think strategically
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Have a proven track record of improvement and impact
  • Demonstrate the highest professional standards.

Located in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, Parrenthorn High School is a co-educational secondary school established in 1974. In response to local demand the school buildings have recently been extended and adapted to accommodate an increased intake and has approximately 976 pupils aged 11-16 on roll.
