Due to the retirement of our current Deputy Headteacher, the governors of Thomas Mills High School seek to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from September 2018, to join the leadership team of this 'Outstanding' and successful, 11-18 school.
Set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside near to the coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold and having easy access to Ipswich, Norwich and London, Thomas Mills serves a wide rural community. Traditionally non-selective, we have consistently outstanding examination outcomes at all levels. Attitudes to learning are excellent and pupils have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
We want our new Deputy Headteacher to be an excellent teacher and communicator, able to inspire confidence in all stakeholders, and motivate pupils to achieve the highest outcomes. You will be an effective manager with the ability to think strategically. The specific responsibilities will be negotiated as there is some flexibility within the senior team.
We are looking to appoint a strong leader who will uphold and strengthen our well-established school ethos and Charter of Values and who will relish the opportunity to move the school forward.
