Deputy Headteacher

The Governing body of this successful and popular school are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher with a passion for teaching and for school improvement. With the appointment of a new Interim Headteacher (September 2016), following the retirement of the previous Head, St Cuthbert Mayne is at an exciting stage in its ongoing development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding practitioner. You will be a prominent figure in supporting the continued development of the school through maintaining and further raising standards of this vibrant and welcoming learning community.

As Deputy Head you will:

• Be a practising and committed Catholic who can nurture faith and spirituality, by helping to shape the Catholic identity of our school.
• Be an outstanding and inspirational class teacher, with high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour and is able to inspire others.
• Have proven experience of leading and managing areas of school improvement and change.
• Have vision, drive and energy and can play an active part in developing strategies to raise standards of achievement in the school;
• Be able to lead either English or Mathematics.
