Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and creative leader who will share our vision for excellence.

We are seeking a leader who will embrace the enormous potential of our thriving school and play a key part in its future.

Weald Rise Primary School was established on 1st April 2015 following the amalgamation of the former Weald Infant and Nursery School and Weald Junior School. The school has a growing population and is moving from a three form entry to a four form entry school.

Weald Rise Primary currently has three classes in every year group except for Year 4 and 5 which have four classes. There is also a 56 place nursery attached to the school. 73% of pupils attending the school are from a wide range of minority ethnic groups. 70% of pupils speak English as an additional language. The school's rich diversity of pupils from different backgrounds has created a strong ethos of community where equality of opportunity and inclusion underpin our work. Staff are committed to providing the very best learning experiences for the children and the school has established a personalised curriculum to meet their learning needs.

You will be:

  • passionate about providing the best possible education for all children
  • an exceptional, creative and highly motivated teacher, providing an excellent role model for all staff
  • able to model and disseminate high quality teaching and learning
  • excited to work in our strategically-focused leadership team
  • a 'people person' with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • enthusiastic to further your career in a growing school.

Weald Rise Primary School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment and will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and full child protection/safeguarding training.
