The Head Teacher and Interim Executive Board of this popular 11-18 co-educational, all-ability school are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Teacher to lead the development of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum across the school.
This is a school that Ofsted placed in ‘Special Measures’ in April 2016, however, the school was re-inspected on 21st/22nd September 2017. The outcome currently remains confidential, but the experience was a positive one. The new Head Teacher and Interim Executive Board are excited about the future, as we have great students, hardworking and caring staff and a real determination to get the school to ‘Outstanding’.
We need a Deputy Head to work with the Head Teacher and current Deputy Head Teacher to support and help drive our improvement journey.

The focus of this role will be to:
- Develop whole school policy and practice in order to further raise standards of teaching and develop students’ independent and resilient learning.
- To work with our current Deputy Head Teacher to ensure our curriculum is fit for purpose and meets the needs of students and new accountability measures.
Given that the school has a strong tradition of providing opportunities and supporting the growth of emergent leaders, the post would ideally suit someone who is currently a Middle Leader or an Assistant Head Teacher who has strong potential to rise up the leadership ladder.
