Deputy Headteacher

The governors of Cubitt Town Junior School are seeking a talented, inspiring and highly motivated practitioner to join the team at Cubitt Town Junior School in the role of Deputy Head. You will work closely with the Headteacher and SLT to ensure there is a relentless focus upon raising standards and securing the best possible achievements for every child.

In this non-class based role you will:

• Share our vision of creativity and high expectations to realise the potential of the children of Cubitt Town
• Be a first class teacher with consistently excellent classroom skills and a proven track record in bringing about pupil progress across the primary phase
• Support the development of a forward thinking learning community at Cubitt Town
• Be a creative driving force in the pursuit of excellence
• Be a confident and clear communicator, able to support, coach and challenge staff to produce consistently good teaching
• Be responsible for teaching and learning within the school
• Develop the use of assessment and data to improve standards
• Oversee the development of an engaging and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of our learners
• Be a strategic and innovative thinker who can draw upon outstanding practice to support and nurture the practice of colleagues
• Be given the opportunity to develop leadership skills and pursue future leadership ambitions
