Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available at Taunton School International Middle school situated in the charming village of Kingston St Mary, just 2 miles from Taunton School.

The role of Deputy Housemaster and Games Teacher would suit anyone with a passion for the pastoral care of young people and who thrive on working in a busy, close-knit community of supportive colleagues. It would provide a fantastic starting point for someone wanting to pursue a career in House parenting, but this is not a requirement and applicants with any experience of working with young people in a relevant capacity (for example as a youth worker, counsellor or sports coach) would be considered. This is a residential post and the Deputy Housemaster is required to sleep on site and to take most of their meals with students. The accommodation is a ground floor flat situated on site suitable for a couple.

The ability to coach at least one of our major sports (rugby, hockey, netball, cricket or football) is desirable.

We aspire to deliver exceptional every day, whilst creating a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can thrive and be celebrated. Our 3 cornerstone values are Humility, Engagement and Kindness. If this sounds like a cultural fit for you, and you meet the job requirements, we would love to hear from you.

We look forward to receiving your application.
