Job overview
Northampton College is the leading provider of Further Education in Northamptonshire and financially outstanding. We are ranked 7th nationally for 16-18 timely outcomes, best in region and the South East for adult (non-GCSE) English and Maths and 15th nationally for GCSE English and Maths in the National Achievement Rate Tables. The College was rated as ‘good’ with outstanding features by Ofsted in October 2018.
Our state-of-the-art campus and reputation put us in a dynamic and unique position to meet both the learning and training needs of students and employers.
The College has a turnover of £30 million per year and circa 9500 students. Operating in a climate of changing and challenging demands of the Further Education sector, including those relating to funding and government policy means the College requires a Deputy Principal of Finance and Corporate Affairs to take a key leadership role in influencing and driving forward the College’s future strategy for growth and success.
Our financial status is outstanding. We are committed to moving forward on our journey to excellence. The platform for our progression is well established and we require an inspirational Deputy Principal of Finance and Corporate Affairs.
As Deputy Principal you will develop and implement an ambitious strategy to ensure that we maintain our outstanding financial status, harnessing internal talent and instilling a culture of achievement. Through effective partnership working and the creation of proactive initiatives you will ensure that the College is at the forefront of the local community and maintain its reputation of the highest order.
Entrepreneurial and motivational, our successful candidate will have an impressive track record of achievement at senior level, with experience of leading cultural and structural change. A background within the FE Sector is preferable, or in a senior leadership role within the wider government funded or commercial sector. You will need to demonstrate the gravitas, vision and expertise needed to lead us forward.
We are looking for a creative decision maker and an influential communicator who is able to deliver value added outcomes in a complex and ever-changing sector.
