Deputy Principal/Head - Al Hail Branch

The United Private School's (UPS) Vision is to be a leading education provider in the region. Our philosophy is to foster strong ethical, cultural and educational standards within our students which is reflected in our enhanced school curriculum.

UPS is a relatively new and rapidly expanding bi-lingual provider offering education from KG1 to Grade 12. We operate in four locations across Muscat. The schools offer the EYFS and the English National Curriculum up to Grade 6. Beyond that we deliver a combination of CIE, Cambridge, and Ministry of Education programmes between Grade 7 and 12, including IGCSE.

The current vacancy is in our Secondary School based in Al Hail, Muscat. Currently this has approximately 650 pupils and 60 teaching staff. It is one of our four schools which in total have c2500 pupils, making UPS the largest private education provider in the capital.

The Board is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and committed school leader who will play a significant part in the further development of our successful secondary school.

As our new Deputy Principal, you will work tirelessly with the Principal/Headteacher, and senior team, comprising a second Deputy Principal and Heads of Departments to ensure that expectations and standards continue to rise by driving excellence in learning and teaching.

While specific responsibilities will be decided based on the strengths of the appointed candidate, you will certainly be involved in improving Teaching and Learning by modelling outstanding teaching and enabling colleagues to further improve their own practise.
