Scholastic International School Myanmar (SISM) is currently seeking a deputy principal for its new secondary school opening in August 2024. This is a unique opportunity for a pioneering and forward-looking leader who will set a clear vision for success whilst promoting the ethos and mission of SISM.  The deputy principal will play a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of the school and its transition and implementation of Cambridge IGCSE. The right candidate will be an inspirational and innovative leader who is driven, hardworking and compassionate. They will possess the ability to form strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents. Exceptional communication skills will be crucial, alongside commercial acumen and personal drive.

This exciting role offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the educational landscape in Myanmar and bring high quality affordable international education to both local and expatriate students. This role would suit an aspiring or experienced school leader who wishes to be part of a fast growing, dynamic international school in Myanmar. As deputy principal of a relatively new school you will play a pivotal role in establishing the foundations for SISM’s success. Requirements:

  • Must be a leader who can set a powerful example by consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic, approachability, kindness, and a likable personality;
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or an equivalent qualification in Education/Teaching/Training and possess relevant teaching experience;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential;
  • Must possess a genuine passion for teaching and a strong commitment to assisting teachers and students in reaching their full potential;
  • Must possess a clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or Police Check;
  • An eagerness to actively contribute to Scholastic International Schools' thriving community is a fundamental requirement.
