Due to an internal promotion, Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Principal to join the Academy.

Queensway infant Academy and Nursery has challenge and reward in generous measure and is ambitious in its intention to transform the opportunities for all pupils through high-quality, engaging and progressive quality education. Located within the attractive Breckland town of Thetford, the academy is one of five academies in the area that are part of EMAT. At present, the two-form entry infant school and includes a nursery and currently has 176 pupils.

Role Purpose

As Deputy Principal, you will be working under direction of the Principal to support the strategic management and day to day running of the Academy and deputising for the Principal as and when required.

You will play a major role in formulating and evaluating the impact of the Academy Improvement Plan whilst lead in the modelling of the academy vision, ethos and aims of the Academy. Alongside the Principal, you will play a key part in promoting the Academy and Trust within the local community.

As part of this role, you will be expected to carry out duties as a class teacher and set a high quality example of teaching, organisation and classroom management as and when required.

Skills & Experience

As a leader in education, you will have experience of working within Early years and Key Stage 1 and either completed a National Professional Qualification or be open to qualifying as part of your role.

Situated on the southern side of Thetford, approximately 1 mile from the town-centre, Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery provides a safe and inspiring place where everyone can thrive as individuals, achieve dreams and build futures by learning together.
