Job overview
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist subject knowledge information to PTs and Programme Director
- Complete required project tasks requested by Programme Director (this could include the preparation of case studies, reviewing course content as well as other SKE related tasks)
- Address any ongoing session issues
- Manage the online forums, working with tutors for subject specialism input
- Support other TES online programmes as necessary
Contribute to training, development and monitoring of Pathway Tutors
- Prepare monthly course calendars for Pathway Tutor (PT) use
- Provide day-2-day support to PTs
- Manage the induction process for new PTs providing all necessary online and telephone support
- Monitor and review PT work
- Use survey data to identify issues relating to Pathway Tutors
Contribute to Monitoring of Trainee Progress:
- Review monthly checkpoint reports and report on outcomes
- Provide a monthly C4C review
- Provide real-time information and status reports on each participant enrolled on a SKE programme as required
- Compile mid-point reviews of learners for providers
Further Professional Duties:
- Attending, when requested, professional development training in relation to the role
- Acting as an ambassador for TES Institute
Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- In-school experience in England
- Experience of leadership at a senior level
- A strong record in programme/policy delivery
- A sound understanding of educational and general technologies, e.g. webinar software, Skype, email, virtual learning environments

Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) programmes for trainee teachers
These 100% online programmes are available to anyone with a conditional offer on a teacher training programme in (currently) Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Modern Languages, Computing, Biology and Geography, with English and Primary with Maths to be launched shortly, who needs to enhance their subject knowledge before starting ITT. Funding from the NCTL is available to eligible trainees for programme lengths ranging from 8-28 weeks for all subjects other than English.
