Salary: £35,223 - £36,417  (FTE) Pro rata salary: £30,663 - £31,702

About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Deputy SENCO starting in September 2023. You will join our SEN team in this non - teaching position and work with our SENCO. You will also help to line manage and support 8 Learning Support Assistants.

Normal hours will be between 8.00am - 4.00pm (with a 1 hour lunch break). It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you

You will have experience as a Deputy or Assistant SENCO who is ready to advance their career.  You must either have a SEN qualification, be working towards this or willing to undertake this whilst in role. You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
