Deputy Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, driven and committed Deputy Headteacher to contribute to the overall leadership and management of Swavesey Village College and be active in promoting its aims, supporting its ethos and promoting achievement and high standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to inspire and motivate an established and successful team, with a collective and relentless drive to deliver the best possible education to our students. We require a purposeful, optimistic leader who is caring, collaborative and good-humoured.

The Opportunity:

·        To have significant responsibilities and the opportunity to make a considerable impact on the future lives of our students

·        Access and contributions to a wide range of networks and groups invested in school improvement as part of the Meridian Trust

·        Contribute to the identification of key areas of strengths and weaknesses in the Academy

·        Work to a high standard in implementing agreed policies, priorities and expectations, setting a good example to other colleagues

·        To develop within a successful multi-academy trust founded on its commitment to people and communities

The Ideal candidate will have:

·        A passionate and uncompromising commitment to student achievement, safeguarding and wellbeing

·        An understanding that leaders must be visible, highly supportive of teachers and responsible/accountable for what happens in the school

·        An understanding of Swavesey Village College’s ethos and Meridian Trust values with a desire to work at the heart of a successful multi-academy trust

·        A track record of highly effective leadership and positive outcomes

·        Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.

·        The ability to celebrate achievement whilst still being able to identify improvement opportunities that will continue to drive the Academy forwards in the best interests of our students

·        Evidence of curricular and pastoral responsibilities

·        Creative and collaborative in problem-solving and identifying opportunities
