A recent expansion to a school in Derby has left them looking for a part time year 4 teacher, the school is located in the south of the city and is within walking distance of the nearest train station. The school are happy to take on both an NQT and any experienced KS2 teacher to fill the role. They have stated that they will provide all the help and resources as well as an individual mentor for any NQT that is looking to start in September. The role may require a degree of flexibility on the candidate’s behalf as the amount of days each week may vary as well as which days you are required.
As a school which is well regarded in the local community they want a teacher who is willing to both fit in to their current teaching methods as well as adapt and improve the school’s standard practices. After a recent Ofsted report the school’s focus is on improving its ability to provide for each child individually, and has recently adopted a more stringent safeguarding methodology. The right candidate for the job will demonstrate to the school that they have the perseverance and tenacity to reach the goals set for them and the class at the start of the year.
The role will start in September and will last until at least the Christmas holidays, however as the school are willing to provide a lot of resources to the part time member of staff, I wouldn’t be surprised if they intended on either bringing them on full time or extending the contract past the Christmas break. Any interviews for the role will most likely take place before the role starts in September, or potentially before the summer holidays if the right candidates are sourced in time.
