Chiswick School is seeking to appoint a forward thinking and inspirational Design and Technology teacher for September 2017. Chiswick is an over-subscribed 11 - 19 mixed comprehensive school of 1274 students situated in a pleasant and accessible suburb of West London.

The successful candidate will become part of a committed Design and Technology team, which is delighted to be moving into a new state of the art, purpose built Technology Building in the autumn term. The building includes two Workshops, a Textiles room, a Food room and a dedicated DT computer suite. We are fortunate to be a well resourced department with a laser cutter, 3D printer and dye sublimation equipment. 

As we continue to implement an exciting new curriculum across all key stages, we would like the successful candidate to meet the following criteria:

- Have a passion and enthusiasm for Design and Technology

- Have a commitment to developing the highest standards of Teaching and Learning

- Have the ability to teach KS4 Design and Technology (AQA) and offer KS5 Product Design (AQA)

- Have the ability to teach Food and Textiles at KS3

- Have good behaviour management skills 

- Be a team player

- Have an ability to value young people as they go through adolescence and aspire for the very best for each individual student.
