All about Normanby, Design & Technology Department 

Outwood Academy Normanby, Middlesbrough has a fantastic opportunity for a Design & Technology Teacher (Part Time 0.6 – 0.8 FTE considered depending on requirements of candidate). We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Design & Technology department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim. 

Our department comprisesDesign Technology, Hospitality & Catering and Computer Science. The team currently consists of four passionate teachers each with their own areas of expertise and experience. We are also supported by a specialist technology and art technician. We work collaboratively as a team to ensure our students get the best of specialist teaching across the range of subjects whilst also ensuring that all of our teachers have a network of open, supportive and friendly peers to rely on. 

The right candidate will be able to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First: Raising Standards and Transforming Lives’. We positively welcome applications from all sections of the community, who love design and technology and have a passion to develop this in others. You could progress quickly across our Family of Schools if that was what you were looking for, through leadership or through our Deeps structure; but, if you want to be the best design and technology teacher and leader you can be, then we are also the school for you!
