A proven Design & Technology expert with excellent technical skills is needed to join a busy and successful Design Technology Department in one of the UK’s leading schools.
The position of Design & Technology Technician is highly respected by pupils and staff and you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department. You will support teachers and pupils in practical activities and will often be called upon to assist in the production of complex and challenging work. Your duties will include ordering, preparing, setting-up and clearing away equipment and materials, as well as mounting work for display.
You will join a hardworking, happy, cohesive team in a department which consists of a Digital Studio, Textile Studio and DT Workshop, where a range of activities take place and pupils enjoy pushing their skills to a higher level and have consistently won awards in prestigious events.
Due to the extensive facilities on offer, you will be expected to become conversant with a broad range of specialist DT techniques, demonstrating confident technical instruction of specialist equipment. You will also need practical and technical skills and H&S DT certification in order to use all the workshop equipment. Training can be organised for the H&S certificates if required.
