Job overview

Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (C.H.A.T.) is the Charitable Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving up to 3000 children. Based in Enfield we are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards. We are looking for a Design & Technology Technician to support activities in three areas: Resistant Materials, Food Technology and Textiles.

As Design & Technology Technician you will provide day to day support to enable the department to run smoothly as well as maintain a tidy, safe and hygienic working environment in all three class rooms. In addition to helping with setting up and packing away, you could find yourself washing and deep cleaning items for the Food department, organising recipes for practical lessons, storing items safely as well as cutting and preparing class sets of materials using bandsaw/table saw. You will also maintain equipment and department filing systems.

You will need a recognised Health and Safety Qualification including COSHH regulations as well as experience of working as a technician in a secondary school or college. Highly organised, you will good communication skills and a good understanding of safeguarding.
