We have a vacancy for a versatile, skilful and dedicated Design and Technology Technician to provide high-quality support to a large, dynamic and successful team of teachers.

The successful candidate will have:

     -  a strong design and technology background

     -  a wide range of excellent practical skills

     -  strong organisational ability

     -  a genuine interest in education and young people

    

The Design and Technology Technician provides support to students and teaching staff with reference to the use of a range of Design and Technology machinery, equipment and processes. Resistant materials including the use of wood, metal and plastic alongside the use of electronic testing equipment. Duties including the setting up, use and maintenance of equipment and machinery. The technician will be able to provide materials for lessons, assist with technical demonstrations, have excellent ICT and CAD/CAM knowledge and be skilled at managing resources within the budget and have oversight of health and safety procedures within the department.

King Edward VII School is a mainstream, state-community, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and it has over 1700 pupils on its roll, including over 600 in Sixth Form.
