We have a fantastic opportunity at our Biggleswade campus for an experienced and interactive Design Technology Teacher on a full time, permanent basis.

Experience required:  

  • Have Qualified Teacher status, a degree or a similar Design related qualification and GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths    
  • Possess recent experience of teaching DT to students in KS3-KS4    
  • Knowledge of the National curriculum for GCSE DT including exam specifications    
  • Possess a good understanding of SEND procedures    
  • Possess the necessary and relative qualifications for using the practical equipment (Including Health and Safety certificates) 


Key responsibilities:  

  • To contribute to the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the curriculum area, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by OSGUK and the Campus Principal of the school   
  • To monitor and support the progress and development of pupils within the curriculum area    
  • To ensure the Self-Directed Learning Philosophy of the school is present in the opportunities presented to the pupils   
  • To help develop STEM opportunities to link technology with Maths and Science    
  • To plan, implement and monitor schemes of work, lesson plans and student Self-Directed Learning assignments for DT    
  • Use a wide range of resources and extracurricular activities to provide pupils with a broad range of activities and experiences in keeping with the school's guidelines    
  • To keep appropriate records of progress and attainment for pupils for use in planning and reporting accordingly to parents    
  • Uphold and promulgate the schools ethos and values within all areas of responsibility

OneSchool Global UK Biggleswade Campus opened in September 2014. Combining the current campus and former Cambridge Campus onto one site in September 2018, it now has students attending that live in a number of surrounding counties.

OneSchool Global UK Biggleswade Campus comprises three buildings, the main building built in 2006 housing classrooms and offices, the multi-purpose Hall block completed in August 2014 containing PE facilities, cookery room and lunch-time Servery, and the new East Block built in 2018 housing classrooms and working areas.

It is a successful school, which received an excellent rating in all areas in their latest inspection in March 2018.
