Overview of the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead:

· We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic specialist who can continue to support students with individual needs and to ensure they achieve and believe in themselves, as well as preparing them for the next steps and adulthood.

· As a Designated Safeguarding Lead within our school, you will be providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across KS3 to KS5.

·  Have a deep and accurate understanding of the school’s strategies for improvement.

·  Providing exemplary pastoral care across the school.

·  Ensuring safeguarding measures are robust and efficient across both sites.

·  Identifying safeguarding trends and reporting these to the wider Senior Leadership Team

·  Develop strong relationships with professional services and community groups

·  Maintaining accurate records of behaviour incidents

· Supporting on behaviour and safeguarding across the school as directed

Pupils

We cater to pupils aged 11 to 19 years who experience social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and may have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.

We offer all pupils a broad and balanced curriculum that challenges them, regardless of their academic ability, to achieve high levels of success. As a behaviour specialist independent school, we support young people with complex needs, including those with and without an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Our alternative provision ensures that all young people feel safe and happy in school while making progress in all subjects, making every day a memorable one.
